About Us
AMES I.T. Academy has been in business for 20 years and in that time has become the leading provider of specialised I.C.T. vocational training in New Zealand, delivering the latest curricula to offer high quality, internationally recognised I.T. certifications and diplomas.

AMES has been training students to successfully gain Microsoft, CompTIA and Cisco certifications, by adopting industry developed curricula that directly relates to these certifications and current industry practices.
We deliver this curriculum in an instructor led format with a kinaesthetic approach to the students’ learning to ensure they get the best possible chance to succeed (TEC:NZ-Reports website).

AMES provides strong ongoing support to our students with one-on-one instructor/student after-class study and a dedicated Pastoral Care Officer for our international students to help them to assimilate into New Zealand.

AMES is registered and accredited by the NZQA and is a signatory to the Ministry of Education Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.

Our Business Development Officer prepares students for the workforce by conducting CV preparation and interview skills workshops, provides opportunities of workplace experience and helps with finding full time employment in the I.T. industry.

We offer schools a free impartial workshop to those students studying I.T. to explain and clarify exactly what I.T. is, what is required to get into the industry and how to go about achieving that goal (to arrange a workshop for your I.T. students contact our School Liaison Officer on enquiries@ames.ac.nz).
