Massey University

Massey University offers over 300 world-class programmes and close to 5,000 papers providing more study options than any other university in New Zealand. With three campuses in Auckland, Palmerston North and Wellington, as well as Massey Extramural (our comprehensive distance learning and online facility), along with our internationally recognised researchers and teachers, we’re New Zealand’s university of choice for up to 40,000 students every year.

Auckland
Massey University Auckland offers a range of internationally recognised courses with more than 70 majors, including Business, Information Science and Computing, Mathematics, Biological Science, Food Technology, Design, Jazz and Social Sciences. With state-of-the-art lecture theatres, a well equipped recreation centre, cafes, parklands, student accommodation and more, Massey Auckland provides one of the country’s most modern tertiary learning environments.

Massey’s Auckland campus is based in Albany on Auckland’s North Shore, close to beautiful beaches and a large shopping precinct.

Palmerston North
Massey Palmerston North is New Zealand’s premier and largest institution for the Life Sciences, Agriculture and Veterinary teaching and research. As well as having the largest business school in the country and a research-driven College of Education, it’s a leader in industrial innovation in areas such as food technology, biotechnology and product development. There is also a strong focus on Health & Human Services, Social Services and Sports & Sports Science and it’s the home to New Zealand’s only university-based Aviation qualifications.

Palmerston North is Student City. It’s a vibrant place with a large percentage of the population under 25 and some of the lowest-priced accommodation in any university city. There’s an energetic arts scene and a huge range of outdoor activities on offer. It’s also an easy city to get around either by foot or bike, and there’s a free bus service for students.

Wellington
At Massey Wellington you’ll discover world-class courses in Communications, Business and Enterprise, Engineering & Technology, Health & Well-being and Design & Fine Arts. The Wellington campus is home to the oldest and most distinguished design school in the country, an innovative new Bachelor of Engineering course, groundbreaking health research in areas like asthma and Mäori health and leading edge small business research.
The campus is right next door to the city centre. Wellington has such a great creative vibe; it’s the prefect place for our ‘creative campus’.

Distance / Online Learning
There are over 3,000 Extramural papers, so students can complete qualifications at all levels, from introductory certificates to Masters degrees and doctorates. In keeping with Massey University’s commitment to innovation, a number of degrees and papers are now available on the Internet. Increasingly, Massey’s teaching staff are using Massey’s website to support and enhance their programmes.
