Takapuna Grammar School
Takapuna Grammar School is a co-education State Secondary School catering for Years 9-13. It is a uniformed school situated on 17.5 hectares on the North Shore and has a roll of 1650 students, including 140 international students. Facilities include a new Sir Peter Blake Art / Technology Centre, Performing Arts Centre, elite sports programme, swimming pool, two gymnasiums, specialist technology and computer rooms, rowing centre and music suite. Tuition fee for resident students is $200.00 and for international students $14,400.
Enrolment
The enrollment scheme gives priority to in-zone students. Classes are banded. Takapuna Grammar consistently performs substantially above NCEA statistics for Decile 10 students in NZ.
Curriculum
There is a full range of Level 1-3 subjects provided in order to obtain National Certificates in Educational Achievement (NCEA). In addition, a variety of courses lead towards other National Certificates. There is also the Centre for Business and Enterprise for students at each of the three senior year levels, which leads to the Cambridge International Qualification. Opportunities are available to study for Scholarship.
