Principal’s Comments
Demand for places in the school is high and this is a reflection of community confidence in the school. Parents and students alike select the school in the knowledge that the aim of individual success for students is constantly at the forefront in the daily life of the school.
The emphasis in the school is on excellence for boys, not only that form of excellence where an individual reaches the top in a particular area, but also excellence where an individual has achieved to his own potential.
The school is innovative, and over the years has been at the forefront nationally in many areas of curriculum development. The school’s library is recognised as one of the best in the country, and this, coupled with new technology, has resulted in the library being an advanced learning resource centre.
Over the years strong international links have been established with overseas schools, and especially with schools in Japan and China. Exchanges have become a regular feature. The school welcomes individual fee-paying overseas students and has established a comprehensive ESOL programme, ensuring success for these students.
