Sacred Heart Girls’ College (Ham)

General Description
Sacred Heart Girls’ College, Hamilton, established in 1884, offers young women an education with a special Catholic Character.
The school has as its motto ‘Age Quod Agis – whatever you do, do well’. Students are encouraged to achieve personal excellence in all areas of school life.

Academic Programme
The College has a reputation for academic excellence and offers a comprehensive range of subjects. Extra English language tuition is provided for international students as part of their curriculum.

Extracurricular Programme
Sports available include basketball, netball, soccer, badminton, tennis, volleyball, cricket, rowing and water-polo. The College has choirs, chamber music group as well as an orchestra. Drama classes and productions are a special feature of the school.

Facilities
The College has well equipped science laboratories, computing suites, well-resourced technology and music rooms, creative arts centre, full sized gymnasium, tennis courts and a well stocked library with access to the internet.

Home-stay NZ$200 per week

Accommodation
The school hostel caters for 100 students in a caring atmosphere. Excellent home-stay accommodation is readily available.

Student Welfare
International students are warmly welcomed. Winner of Education New Zealand’s national Pastoral Care Excellence Award. A personal interest is taken in all students.
