Rosehill College

Rosehill College is a
co-educational, state secondary school, with a roll of 1760 Year 9 to Year 13 students. The College is nationally recognised for the innovative programmes offered to all students. With over 30 years’ experience in working with international students, Rosehill College provides a safe friendly environment where students gain their full academic, cultural, and social potential. Students studying in Rosehill College enjoy the challenge of reaching ’Personal Excellence’ in their chosen course of study.
Facilities
The College is situated in a residential suburb of the town of Papakura, 30 minutes by car from downtown Auckland City, and 15 minutes from Auckland International Airport. Papakura has a comprehensive shopping centre, and excellent recreational facilities, including golf courses, an indoor/outdoor aquatic complex, sporting facilities, gymnasiums and library.
The College is located in spacious landscaped grounds. The students study in well appointed facilities, including art, music and drama suites,
e-learning rooms, library, gymnasiums and a fitness centre, astro turf courts, and well appointed playing fields with an outdoor heated swimming pool.
Courses available
The College offers all students a comprehensive range of subjects from Years 9 to 13, leading to national NCEA qualifications, that enable students to enter tertiary study within and outside New Zealand. A wide range of sports are played. Students may learn a variety of musical instruments, and join one of the performance bands. Musical and drama productions are integral components of the school calendar.
International Programme
Rosehill College welcomes the cultural diversity the international students bring to the multicultural student body. The care of our international students is a very high priority. The staff of the International Department oversees all the enrolment and orientation needs of the students, and provide ongoing support throughout the students time in the College. English language programmes are offered to all ESOL students. The College manages the Homestay programme, airport pick-up, and visa/permit application. Representatives of most New Zealand universities and polytechnics visit the school to assist international students in their choices of tertiary study.
Accommodation
Rosehill College manages the home stay programme for the international students. Homestays are arranged with local families. The students are offered their own bedroom, all meals and laundry.
Fees 2012
Tuition: $12,700.00 (This fee covers all text books, course fees, activity fees)
Text book bond: $100 (This fee is refunded at the end of the year when the student returns all text books)
Application fee: $500.00
Homestay: $230 per week
Medical insurance: Students may purchase their own medical insurance but it must meet the standards required by the Code of Practice.
