General Description
Rangi Ruru Girls’ School in New Zealand is an independent school at the forefront of girls’ education. With a roll of around 700 girls in Years 7 to 13, including 120 boarders in Years 9 to 13, it is small enough to ensure that individual student needs are met and big enough to offer an extensive range of subjects and programmes.
The school has an excellent record and reputation for academic success, across a wide range of subject choices. Rangi Ruru prides itself on being a safe and friendly school, with a strong pastoral care network and set of school values.
Rangi Ruru offers international students an excellent education and greatly values the global perspective they bring to the school.

Curriculum
Academic Programmes
Rangi Ruru has a strong academic focus, with a broad choice of subjects and small classes (maximum of 25 students). The teachers, many of whom are leaders in their specialist fields, provide a supportive and challenging educational environment for all students. The majority of students are accepted into their university of choice, both in New Zealand and overseas.
Co-Curricular Programmes
Rangi Ruru offers an extensive range of creative and cultural activities, including drama, debating, speech, chess, dance, creative writing, philosophy, the international club, and the outstanding orchestra and nationally acclaimed Senior Choir. The school is also one of New Zealand’s top schools in sporting success and offers over 35 sporting options at both social and competitive levels.

English Language Entry Requirements
To gain the maximum benefit from being at Rangi Ruru, our students must be able to cope with English instruction in the classroom and have the reading and writing skills needed to complete classroom and homework tasks. Students are required to sit an English assessment test prior to enrolment.

English Language Support
All our international students are in mainstream classes, but specialist English language support (ESOL) is also available at all levels on individual or small group basis. There is also an academic English programme (EAS) for senior students wishing to prepare for university study and international English examinations.

Application Fee – $100
Acceptance of place fee – $1,000 (non-refundable single payment)
International Tuition fees – $28,000
Boarding Fees – $11,925
Rangi Ruru Fees include GST.
