Papanui High School
General Description
Situated in suburban Christchurch, only 10 minutes from both the city centre and the airport, Papanui High School, a co-educational school with 1500 students has the advantages of being a city school surrounded by outdoor opportunities.
Christchurch, a city of 350,000, is the largest city in the South Island. It is a city renowned for its beautiful parks, gardens and the picturesque Avon River flowing through the city centre.
We offer ski trips to the ski fields most weekends in winter and arrange surfing and rock climbing lessons for interested students in season.
Christchurch schools are very fortunate to take part in a well organised inter secondary schools sporting competition every Wednesday afPOternoon.
At the end of the school year in November, 2 weeks of activities both locally and on tour in the South Island, are enjoyed by our non NCEA senior international students.
With the outdoors at our doorstep and with the benefits of a beautiful cosmopolitan city, Papanui High School can offer you the best of all worlds.
