General Description
Co-ed; Years 9-13; Roll 1020; Uniform; Prospectus and information pack available on request; International students welcome (fee $14,000 this does not include accommodation).

Philosophy
Glendowie College provides quality education and believes in the pursuit of excellence. Every student is encouraged and challenged to attain their full potential in preparation for their future. This is achieved by providing a positive and stable learning environment that fosters excellence in academic, cultural and service endeavours. Glendowie College welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds, which contributes to its rich and multi-cultural nature.

Academic Programmes
Programmes offered in the Junior School (Years 9 & 10) aim to provide a broad educational base. In the Senior School, Years 11, 12 and 13, opportunities exist to undertake multi-level studies to prepare individual students for entry to tertiary education. English as a Second Language is offered at all levels.

Cultural and Sporting Opportunities
A wide variety of musical opportunities are available to students. Individual music tuition is offered and students are able to participate in school orchestras, bands, jazz groups, ensembles, chior and cultural groups. These groups regularly attend festivals and competitions both in New Zealand and overseas.
Participation in sporting activities is encouraged at all levels. Glendowie students consistently achieve well at a regional, national and international level in team and individual sports. Some forty different sports codes are offered within the College.

Personal Development
Lifeskills Programme, Career Development, Peer Support, Mentoring, Community service, Leadership Activities, Education camps and trips.

Special Features
Accelerated Learning, Learning Assistance, ESOL.

Pastoral Care
With a roll of 1020 the teachers and counsellors at Glendowie College are able to offer supportive and personal attention to its students.
