About Us
Our school offers the opportunity to learn in a bi-cultural setting with programmes being delivered in English and Maori. We cater for students aged from 5 years to adults (Year 1–Tertiary). Everyone who wants to learn in a supportive, motivating, caring environment is welcome to enrol – NZ and/or overseas.
Special Features
We are a FARNET Virtual Learning School – students have access to other networks worldwide; Maori Bilingual Unit; School Marae and Whare ‘Te whiringa o te muka tangata’; Beaches, River, Harbours allow for Aquatic Training, River Swims, Surfing, Surf Life Saving, Waka ama, Skiing and Diving; Te Reo Maori; Hokianga is immersed in History.
In 2012, courses in Maori Tourism and Business Management will be held for senior students and adults (based on the school marae) facilitated by Awanuiarangi Whare wananga.
