Location
The College is located in Kilbirnie, only 5 minutes minutes from Wellington Airport, and 7 minutes from the central city. It has easy access to a wide range of civic, sporting and recreational facilities.

International Students
St Patrick’s College welcomes international students. We have recently had students from South Korea, China, Japan, Cambodia, Germany and Vietnam. We restrict the number to a maximum of 25, so that each student is able to receive individual care and guidance.

Academic Program
The College has a reputation for academic excellence and offers a wide variety of subjects in the senior school (Years 11 to 13) where the emphasis is on each student achieving to his potential and attaining nationally recognised qualifications. A close relationship with St Catherine’s College (a girls' college close by) allows senior students access to a greater variety of academic options. In the junior school (Years 9 & 10) the College strives to ensure that all have a solid grounding in core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Technology and Physical Education. The junior school has a wide variety of option classes.

Activities
The College has a proud sporting tradition and has achieved notable successes over the years. Many individual and team sports are offered.
Considerable emphasis is placed on involvement in cultural activities with an emphasis on music, choir, public speaking and drama.
The College owns a property in the Wairarapa where junior students spend 3-4 days a year on camp. Senior students involved in outdoor education help the teachers run the camps. The students learn a variety of skills such as rafting, abseiling and canoeing.
