The NZHITO (New Zealand Horticulture Industry Training Organisation) co-ordinates industry training in horticulture. The NZHITO works for the Horticulture Industry by responding to the education and training requirements of the industry. Training with the NZHITO is carried out via a mix of both on-job and off-job training, in all cases NZHITO apprentices and industry trainees will be working under the guidance of an experienced horticulturist or horticulture tradesperson.
